Just popped another Percoset. That goes along with the morphine I took earlier. I am getting some relief.
Now, to ask for help. I've talked to my doctor, she says my weight is an aggravating factor. I now weigh 300 pounds, which is about one hundred and twenty pounds too much for someone of my height and body form. But...
Because of the spinal damage most forms of exercise are not feasible. I can't walk, because walking involves standing. At least not very far. I can't lift weights, which I used to love doing because it would put pressure on the already damaged lower spine. The damage is causing the vertebrae to press down on the nerve to my left leg. It also does press a bit on the right some days, like one day in thirty.
So what exercises would you recommend?
Yes, I am restarting my diet. In the six months left of the year I'd like to drop at least twenty pounds. I'm also open to dietary suggestions, but before you suggest anything complex remember that I cannot stand long enough to cook anything fancy, and even simple stuff I often have to ask other people to do.
